I have a yearbook from my last year of high school that everyone I loved signed. I have no idea where that book is, nor have I looked at it in years. When it came time to think about my last year of college, it became apparent that I didn't want people to show up to my graduation, sign a book, and have me forget about it soon after. So I devised a plan to collect memories and well wishes on one of my favorite things ever. I took an old guitar of my grandfathers and turned it into my personal yearbook. Now I have a one of a kind piece of art that I will happily be able to display. It seemed fitting to use a guitar since college was the place I learned to play, and I'll enjoy this momentum for years to come.

Pineapple Cake Truffles
Cake pops are all the rage these days. With their relatively simple assembly and cute appearance, they're sure to be a hit for any occasion. I, however, failed miserably at making these adorable treats. For the life of me I couldn't get the sticks to stay in the cake balls. What I ended up with was equally delicious and appealing, only minus the stick making it a true "cake pop," My cake truffles in mini cupcake wrappers were still a hit! I followed this video recipe and hopefully if you try it, you'll be able to make the little sticks stay.

The Little Things
(A graduation gift from my sister that pretty much sums up my years at UF)
This past weekend I graduated from college! I had a great day with my family and friends as we all celebrated five long years of school finally being over. I don't think it's set in yet how big this is, and perhaps I won't really feel different until August, when for the first time in eighteen years I won't head to class. But despite this big event that just happened in my life, it's still those little things that help me smile the most.

Wedding Dress Ideas?
I'll admit it: I'm kind of excited about this royal wedding. My best friend and I are planning to wake up super early tomorrow (donuts in hand for sure) and watching the gorgeous Kate Middleton marry her prince (and probably weep at the idea that it isn't one of us!). But I have another confession to make: A long time before I knew about this wedding, I've had a bad habit of browsing white gowns and picturing myself in them. Now, I'm nowhere near ready to get married as I'm still waiting for my prince, however I had such a fun time looking at dresses and imagining the new princess in them. Speculation over her dress has the internet buzzing as seen here, here, and even here! But I have my own ideas... If I were getting married tomorrow I'd love to be in any one of these dresses. Of course we'll have to wait until tomorrow for the real royal gown to be revealed, but perhaps it will look like one of my choices.

The Little Things
(Scattered rhinestones for an art project)
I spent this past holiday weekend at home with my family and found plenty to do to keep my mind busy and out of this endless cycle of the unknown. I'm currently employed, but I'm searching for a real job, you know, the kind that utilizes the degree I've spent five years earning. It's been slow going and a bit stressful so it was nice to keep my mind off it and into quality time with my family.
